Q1. What is PGD?
A. B. This is the first database oriented in hosting genomics information of pineapple, set up by Huimin Xu, Dr. Ray Ming and Dr. Jisen Zhang from Center for genomics and biotechnology, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, China.

Q2. What data and information does PGD contain?
A. PGD aims to be the leading database for pineapple genomics. Currently, the PGD host significant search tools and available dataset for researcher to study comparative genomics, gene expression, gene co-expression molecular marker and gene annotation of Ananas comosus(L). We also implemented a genomic browser that visualizes genomic data interactively and performed Basic Local Alignment Search Tool. PGD also includes several additional pages for bulk data download, detailed user manual and data integration information. This current PGD is Version 1.0, so we will update it continuously.

Q3. How is PGD supported?
A. Currently, PGD is set up by Huimin Xu, Dr. Ray Ming and Dr. Jisen Zhang. A setup fund was awarded to Dr. Ray Ming from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, China, Program for New Century Excellent Talents in Fujian Province was awarded to Dr. Jisen Zhang, and Science and Technology Major Project of Fujian Province (2016NZ0001 ) was awarded to both Dr. Ray Ming and Dr. Jisen Zhang.

Q4. How is PGD structured?
A. PGD is a relatively user-friendly online platform. A list of functions/tools were offered, including Introduction, Tools, Search, Download, Help. Users could find information easily through this menu.

Q5. How do I cite PGD?
A. If you use any function or tool, or you want to cite PGD, please cite related papers in homepages.

Q6. How can I contact PGD?

Q7. Can I submit my data to PGD?
A. We strongly encourage users to submit their data either genome or transcriptome to PGD. Please contact Dr. Zhang or Huimin Xu for technical help.

Q8. Can I download data from PGD?
A. Yeah, welcome to use any data for research purpose without any restrictions. For commercial purposes, please contact us before you use any data, we will reply you ASAP.

A. Data sources were concisely introduced in PGD. The other tools and introduction were created by us. References were listed in each section.

A. Click the Help button, you will find almost everything you need. If there's any other problem, feel free to contact us.

Q13. Do I need a PGD account to access data?
A. Currently not needed. No registration is needed to access all data on PGD. But please be noted that if you use it for commercial usage, contact us first.
