Gene-Gene Co-Expression



 In this page, the gene expression similarity is calculated among differen tissues, including different leaves (8 samples), roots (1 sample), fruits (5 samples) and flowers (1 sample). Theses RNA-Seq data were used to calculate expression similarity between genes, 7228 informative genes (with FPKM greater than 5 in at least one tissue and a variance greater than 1) were obtained and gene pairs with absolute similarity of expression correlation greater than 0.65 were selected for the final dataset. Both Pearson and Spearman were used to test the gene expression correlation for your reference.

The input is the target genes and the output is co-expression genes, relative correlation coefficient and the expression level (FPKM) of two related genes in different tissues with the cutoff and type of coefficient users inputted above.
The resulting dataset contains the expression of 7,228 informative genes.

The criterion of correlation coefficient : 0.8-1.0 strong correlation highly; 0.6-0.8 strong correlation, and <0 negative correlation, >0 positive correlation.
